THE STORY
WHY THE OLD G.O.A.T?
-
Old and New Come Together
Jack Horsey and Christopher LanCarte came together to create the Old G.O.A.T. Hoof knife. Jack has over 30 years under a horse and Christopher is the youngblood with 15 years as a cutting horse trainer and 4 years as a farrier. So how did these two unite? Out of necessity...
-
Wear and Tear
Jack enlisted Christopher to be his hands as he prepared for and recovered from a wrist surgery due to the daily wear and tear of shoeing horses. The two spent countless hours discussing the tools, the trade, and the philosophy of horse shoeing as they went down the road.

Making a hard job easier
One of the struggles in shoeing is finding the right tool at the right price. And a person can spend a lot of money and time trying to figure it out. But with Jacks guidance and Christopher's idea, the duo designed a knife to make a hard job easier.
